Rock Steady Boxing enables people with Parkinson’s disease (from early to late diagnosis) to fight their ailment by providing non-contact boxing-style fitness programs that improve quality-of-life and sense of self-worth. Recent studies show that exercise such as these, work to delay the progression of symptoms. Join Jojo McDuffie, instructor and some of his athletes and find out what it’s all about! Enjoy some light refreshments. No boxing experience necessary! This event is free to Senior Center members, but please register at the Senior Center Welcome Desk or online.
The open house will take place at the Rock Steady studio located in the IX building, 949 2nd Street SE, Charlottesville, VA 22902.
