Next Chapter

{category_name}

Some changes occur unexpectedly.  Others are the result of a conscious effort to find renewed energy and passion. The Next Chapter initiative is designed for people age 50 and better who find themselves approaching or experiencing:

  • Post-career years
  • Career transition
  • Relocation
  • Loss of a partner
  • Empty nesting
  • Or, simply trying to decide “What’s Next?”

The program helps steer adults through the transition from midlife to a next chapter by setting a course, connecting with peers, and finding pathways to meaningful work and significant service.

Components include workshops, peer coaches, and online resources.

WORKSHOPS

Interactive learning opportunities on issues of interest to those in transition.

PEER COACHES

Talking to another person can often help identify hopes and dreams, clarify goals, and develop action plans. Our trained peer coaches are available to meet one-on-one with you. Together you will explore options and discover resources when you face or seek a transition. Your peer coach sticks with you, celebrating milestones and achievements.

Stop by the front desk to complete a simple form and a Peer Coach will contact you to schedule up to five one-on-one meetings to help direct you and connect you to your next chapter. Your confidentiality is assured.

RESOURCES / DIY

In addition to the Next Chapter library at the Senior Center, the Internet offers tremendous resources for finding information, service providers, and more.
