Member travels in August include The Heart of Virginia Luau in Spotsylvania and Harvest Preview at Autumn Hill Vineyards, Stanardsville. JoAnn Perkins, President, Abbie Bishop, Secretary and Molly Anthony, staff liaison, will answer your questions and enroll you. This is a club to increase participants’ knowledge about wine, to taste wines from around the state and world and to socialize with people interested in expanding their experience with wine. Dues cover communications on group outings and our quarterly education and tasting nights (September 10th and December 3rd).

Sacred Silence Meditation
Friday, August 8th from 2:00-3:30 p.m.

Meditation provides stress relief, assists centering and relaxation. Michael Jabalee, M.Ac. presents the teachings of Stalking Wolf, Apache medicine man, related to meditation. This form is easy to learn and quickly gets a person in touch with the depth of inner silence and peace, and more easily connects to the "still, small voice of the heart". It is very dynamic; therefore, a wonderful technique to learn for those who have difficulty quieting their minds. The session will teach the basic form to quiet the mind and achieve the meditative state and how to incorporate it into daily practice. Register at the Front Desk. $10 for members and $14 for guests.
