Food trucks are a fantastic way to experience different cuisines in a casual way. And Charlottesville has got some great trucks! We host one here on the fourth Thursday of (almost) every month. Look for them in our parking lot, in a reserved area near the front of the building closest to Hillsdale Drive. You can eat here or pick up something to go. The public is welcome, so spread the word to folks at surrounding offices and organizations so they can take advantage, too!
June 28: Bavarian Chef
Everyone's favorite food truck returns! Pretzel with Bier cheese & German mustard, Potato pancakes with sour cream & homemade applesauce, Schnitzel Sandwich, Jäger Schnitzel, Sausage im Brötchen, Frikadellen, Knackwurst, Bratwurst, Oompah Shrimp, Reuben Sandwich ... are you hungry?
July 26: Spice Sea Gourmet
A food truck dedicated to home cooked wholesome dishes from land and sea. Always fresh, always made to order! Menu items include shrimp, cod, and catfish po'boys, crab cakes, chicken breast, and sweet potato fries. Chef and owner Whitney Matthews is a graduate of VMI and the Culinary Institute of America. She opened SpiceSea Gourmet Food Truck while living in San Antonio. Lucky for us she got homesick for Virginia.
August 23: 106 Street Eats
English Muffin Burgers, Pork Schnitzel, Smoked Chicken Pita, Falafel Pita, Gorilla Steak and Cheese, Curly Fries, Mac 'n' Cheese ... any of these mouth-watering options could be on the menu.
