Thursday, July 26, 2018 | 9:00am - 5:00pm

Details:

Your day in Richmond begins at the Museum of the Confederacy, followed by a private tour of the White House of the Confederacy, President Jefferson Davis's residence. After dining nearby, Civil War historian Rick Britton will deliver a tour of the beautifully preserved Gaines’s Mill Battlefield. Fought on June 27, 1862—the third of the famous Seven Days' Battles—Gaines's Mill witnessed Robert E. Lee launch attack after attack against a strongly dug-in Union army. Albemarle County's largest infantry force, the 19th Virginia, played a significant role in the battle.
